The summer months come to a close and Sarcophagus keeps marching on. The biggest thing on the horizon, undoubtedly, is the plan to deploy the protocol to L2(s) soon.

Wen L2(s)?

Throughout the testnet period for v2, a common question that the team was asked about was ‘Wen L2?’ A large part of this was due to the fact that a user on mainnet will have to pay gas fees that are denominated in ETH and the overall cost to do business on ETH L1 is substantially higher than on an L2. The team understood this call, but to focus on getting the dApp out and functioning, the L2 push was prioritized for post-testing and mainnet release. Given the launch of v2, full focus from our friends at Decent DAO has gone into two areas to help minimize friction for user experience. The first is prepping to launch on Polygon and the second is how to minimize and simplify the process of creating a sarcophagus for ease of use.

Currently, the technical requirements for the nodes are the biggest hurdle to jump to make sure that they can roll up and catch/safeguard sarcophagi on Polygon. Additionally, the deployment of smart contracts and enabling liquidity via a wrapped token are the other areas that need to be performed to start testing. From our last update with our development team, we are not that far away. Expect to hear an announcement soon!

Sarcophagus Governance

The above video was recently created as a bounty on how to participate in the DAO Governance. This includes an explanation and walkthrough of the entire process to help newcomers understand how to participate. Huge thanks to @Harpers for putting together this video.

Sarcophagus + everPay

Sarcophagus was recently chosen to be listed on the everPay protocol. everPay is a real-time financial protocol that will give everyone a great user experience accompanied by high performance followed by convenience for crypto payments anywhere. Users can leverage everPay to most assets and payments across different blockchains and the listing of Sarcophagus enables additional utility for users. Integrations and Partnerships

We’re working hard to reach out to various projects in the web3 ecosystem to help improve user experience and add additional Dead Man’s Switch capabilities to existing products. If you develop, manage, and/or participate in projects that could benefit from this utility, reach out to us and we can discuss details and ideas.

Updated Team Roles, Responsibilities, and Accountability System

In recent weeks the team has sat together and worked on formalizing the working structure of the Sarcophagus team to implement a system with more structure and accountability. This is to ensure that forward momentum and work are being correctly credited to all team members and that everyone has a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities. Now with a functional and working product in hand, the team is committed to ensuring that all eyes are focused on helping to get more traction on the project, build a user base, and educate the world on the importance of what Sarcophagus can deliver.

The team is fully committed, heads down, and ready to grind out a positive outcome for the project!
